Mater Dei's Jeanne Dickinson '77 has been recognized by her coaching peers and continues to receive accolades for her coaching skills.
The National Federation of High School Coaches Association recently named Dickinson the 2008 New Jersey State Coach of the Year and the Northeast Sectional Coach of the Year.
Following the Seraphs' extraordinary 2008 softball season - which saw the team capture its first State Championship - the Asbury Park Press named Dickinson as its 2008 Softball Coach of the Year. The Star Ledger recognized her as the 2008 Monmouth County Softball Coach of the Year; it had previously awarded her the same time in 1984 and in 2007.
Sporting News recognized Dickinson as its 2008 Female Coach of the Year. DigitalSports.com named her 2008 Softball Coach of the Year.
Dickinson teaches mathematics at Mater Dei. She was inducted into the Mater Dei Hall of Fame in 2008, recognizing her extraordinary career as an educator and a coach.
